Overview
The Coventry and Warwickshire Training Hub (CWTH) is pleased to announce a number of initiatives that have recently been introduced to aid the integration of First Contact Practitioner (FCP) Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) into Primary Care through the Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS). This page will contain various attachments are designed to help the implementation and integration of FCPs in Primary Care.
Employment Guidelines
These employment guidelines offer assistance for PCNs and GP practices that are planning to employ, or have already employed, FCPs in their practice. It offers practical advice on the employment processes and requirements expected for the ARRS roles.
Employment Models
The employment model document simplifies the range of models that could be utilised by PCNs and GP practices when looking at employing any of the ARRS roles.
FCP Roadmap Documents
The FCP Roadmap document covers the Health Education England (HEE) Roadmaps that exist for the following AHPs- Podiatrists, Occupational Therapists, Dieticians, Physiotherapists, and Paramedics. This document determines the requirements of an Employer as determined by HEE and the CQC for these professions to move through their individual Roadmaps.
Additional documents covering Physician Associates and the Personalised Care roles are also attached.
Lantum and CWTH
The Lantum Supervisor document is an exciting provision that has been developed and financed by the Coventry and Warwickshire Training Hub in partnership with the Lantum locum portal.
The Training Hub is acutely aware of the issues regarding accessing Supervisors for the FCPs who have to pass through an HEE Roadmap. This CWTH/Lantum Supervisor provision incentivises Roadmap Supervisors to offer their time to FCPs who are directly employed by a PCN or GP practice. This document illustrates the process for Roadmap supervisors to offer supervision to PCNs and GP practices. Lantum will offer direct support and communications to PCNs and GP practices with regard to the process of uploading Supervisor shifts for their directly employed FCPs.

Agillo Clarity Portfolio for ARRs
This document highlights the accessibility of an online e-portfolio for ARRS role staff. This provision works hand in glove with the CWTH/Lantum Supervisor provision. The Coventry and Warwickshire Training Hub have paid for licenses to enable FCPs to register for a free online Agilio Clarity e-Portfolio account, which will enable them to clearly demonstrate their progress through their appropriate Roadmaps. For FCPs without Roadmaps, this e-portfolio will help them demonstrate professional development.
