New News

Funding for Health and Wellbeing Initiatives

Many of you have asked me over the past year whether funding is available to support you in implementing local wellbeing initiaives and events.

I am so pleased to share that C&W Training Hub are able to offer funding for this, to ensure fairness we will be providing a maximum of £600 per PCN.

In order to receive this funding we ask that you complete the proposal form below for each of your initiatives. The proposal form has an example pre written for you to support you in writing your own.

There is no limit on the number of proposals you submit as long as you remain within budget. You don’t need to submit for all of the funding immediately however please note this funding is currently only available until the end of March 2024.

Before submitting your proposal form I encourage you to discuss with your HWB Champion collegaues what you would like to do as you might find there is some cross over and often working at scale will ensure your funding goes alot further.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Wellbeing Wednesday

It is really important that we share high quality, relevant content in our ‘wellbeing wednesday’ editions or we run the risk of, those we are trying to support, tuning out. As a result we are currently trialing running the edition fortnightly.

Please continue to share as much as you can whether that is the work that you are doing as HWB Champions in your PCNs or a useful tip, tool or resource. We would love to have a section in Wellbeing Wednesday dedicated to the work you are doing so please keep sharing.

I would also encourage you to share tips, tools and resources that you have found useful or that staff have shared with you and perhaps a short review of how it has supported.

I am keen to build into our upcoming editions a ‘tried and tested’ section – I appeciate we all have different experiences but I have found it useful in the past to hear about others experiences, what works and doesnt work for them.

Please do continue to share!

Reminder: Health and Wellbeing Champion poster

This is a mockup of the Health and Wellbeing Champion poster for you to share within your practices and across your PCN.

The section in green will differ for you all as we wanted to create something that is bespoke to you and what you offer across your PCN.

Please click here to answer a few questions and we will produce the poster and send it to you!

Employee Benefits

Vivup have provided some data recently on what our colleagues in General Practice are accessing.

The workbooks accessed most are around Bereavement, Depression, Eating Disorders and Stress.

Although we have over 470 colleagues registered, usage is really low so I would ask that you promote Vivup where possible – especially the self-help workbooks, audio etc.

Vivup now have an app which we hope will provide more accessibility for colleagues!
