International Women’s Day – 8th March

Celebrating International Women’s Day 2024

Join us to celebrate and highlight work underway to progress gender equality and enhance inclusivity for women working in healthcare.

All are welcome and you will be in great company with others who are passionate about gender equality.

Power, Tokenism & Equality

What’s it like to be in the minority in a situation? How can we be more aware of how it feels when someone in our group is ‘the only one’?

What about tokenism – how does it feel when you wonder if you’ve been selected not solely on your abilities but because you’re helping to bring about a balance of representation?

And how do we widen the conversation and recognise that so many of us feel like we don’t have what it takes and that we’re just waiting to be found out.

Women’s health hubs: improving quality and access through group clinics

Lunch and learn webinar: Friday 8th March 12:30-1:30

Join us on International Women’s Day Friday 08 March to explore how women’s health hubs are working to improve access and quality and how menopause group clinics delivered in primary care support this aspiration

Understand the Women’s Health Hub agenda and the priority pathways that Women’s Health Hubs are working to improve.  Hear from Dr Elly Lesser how she led the introduction of menopause group clinics as part of her New to Practice Fellowship, and how group clinics have impacted on quality and access.

Supporting staff with the cost of living

The NHS Employers Cost Of Living Programme supports local employers and staff, sharing good employment practice and resources in their cost-of- living hub.

The cost-of-living hub brings together long and short-term solutions to support employees with the rising cost of living.

Join guest speakers at a webinar on Thursday 14 March at 10am – 11am, where colleagues will share how enabling a culture of flexibility is key to the work they are doing to support staff with the rising cost of living.
