Stress Awareness Day – 2nd Nov 2022
National Stress Awareness Day was set up with the mission of raising awareness of the effects and stigma of stress in the workplace.

We are highlighting a range of resources to support employers to tackle stress in the workplace and to promote good mental wellbeing below:
- Self-help workbook – providing insight, advice and support on stress management
- Guidance on prevention and management of stress at work – guidance to support colleagues experiencing stress.
- Stress and impact in the workplace – a webinar from the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partnership Group which looks at work-related stress.
- Supporting on NHS people experiencing stress – information to help support people experiencing stress.
- Talking toolkit aims to reduce work stress – a toolkit specifically for NHS providers
- Mental health in the workplace – tools and resources for you to help improve mental health in the workplace.
- Health and wellbeing conversations – a resource which aims to help managers have confident and effective conversations to support their staff.
Supporting colleagues to manage their work-life balance
WorkLife Central are offering all NHS colleagues access to their online programme that includes positive and practical support, delivered through expert-led webinars and seminars, as well as advice, peer insights, online articles, blogs and podcasts on specific topics such as health and wellbeing, bereavement and others.

They aim to help members develop skills, enhance family life, improve wellbeing and support work-life balance. This app is free to NHS colleagues until 31 March 2023.
