Midlands Primary Care Transformation Team are supporting and celebrating doctors making the transition from training to working in general practice with a Welcome To General Practice event.
The event is aimed at trainees and newly qualified GPs to help them understand the opportunities and support available to them as they embark on their career in general practice.
It is being held on Thursday 19 May from 6-9pm via zoom and has been developed in partnership with NHS England, Health Education England, the GMC and RCGP.
Presented by doctors working in general practice, the agenda will provide information about the GP Fellowship scheme, the RCGP First Five scheme, working as a partner and how to develop a portfolio career, as well as what happens at CCT and appraisal.
Key speakers include Dr Nikki Kanani (Medical Director, NHS England & Improvement), Prof Simon Gregory (Deputy Medical Director, Health Education England) and Prof Dame Clare Gerada (President, Royal College of General Practitioners).
