Inclusion content in the BLS Training:
- COVID-19 (Coronavirus) - Concerns/Risks of Transmission during Resuscitation, Compression only CPR, PPE.
- The assessment of a collapsed victim
- The technique of chest compression
- The technique of rescue breathing (ventilation) - Considerations for level 2/3 PPE.
- How to turn on an AED.
- How to attach AED electrodes.
- The assessment of cardiac rhythm by AED
- The technique of performing defibrillation safely
- The care of the unconscious breathing victim
- Use of Oxygen and Bag Valve Mask.
- Additional skills including Paediatric BLS Algorithm.
About Ian Inglesant & Wideawake Training Ltd.
Ian started his career path as a Paramedic by joining the Ambulance Service at 19yrs old, and is now in his 32nd year. Ian has held many positions including Technician, Paramedic, Operational and Tactical Incident Commander. Ian has been involved in many aspects of private event medical cover and training in both the UK and World Wide.
Ian started working as an instructor for Wideawake Training Ltd in 2015 for the original founder who then retired in 2019 where he was to solely take over the Business which Ian continues to grow by bringing vast experience of Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine and Training of Various levels of Life Support and First Aid to GP Surgeries, Care providers, Business’s and Public groups.
The cost of the course includes 20% VAT.
This event is part-funded, through the Training Hub, by public money. Non-attendance therefore comes at a cost to patients, the NHS, and the public. Spaces at our events might be limited and your absence may prevent others from benefiting from the opportunity. If you are no longer able to attend, please notify us by replying to this email as soon as possible. For cancellations less than 72 hours prior to the course start date and all ‘no-shows’, we reserve the right to charge a £50.00 administration fee.
