Dr Maria Ceurstemont
Primary Care Education LeadI have been a GP in Coventry and Warwickshire for over 20 years and for the last 10 years I’ve been a Partner at Engleton House Coventry. I started work in Education in 2018 and now oversee Primary Care Education throughout C+W. I have a great set of Tutors and work closely with our Education Coordinator Sarah to create our programme. Dr Sundus Abid
GP Tutor (Rugby)I am a General Practitioner based in Rugby, where I have lived for the past eight years. I qualified as a GP in 2022 after completing my training in Northamptonshire. I work as a salaried GP in Rugby and also provide sessions at the Rugby PCN Extended Access service. I have a strong interest in Medical education and training, particularly in supporting colleagues including medical students, (ANPs), and Clinical Pharmacists in their professional development. Alongside my clinical work, I have pursued further learning, including a Diploma in Practical Dermatology, which has enhanced my skills in primary care.
Dr Nish Wiratunga
GP Tutor (Coventry)Hi I’m Nish Wiratunga and I’m the GP Tutor for Coventry. I am a GP partner in a training practice located in Coventry. As a GP Trainer, I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with others, which is why I also serve as a mentor and appraiser to fellow GPs. In addition, I am an active member of the Local Medical Committee (LMC), where I work to promote the interests of GPs and their patients in our community.

Having been born, raised (mostly) and completed all of my medical training in Coventry and Warwickshire I’m very proud to be a part of your primary care education team. Dr Laura Doan
GP Tutor (Warwickshire North)Hello, I am Dr. Laura Doan. I completed my Medical Training at The University of Warwick after being a Microbiology Technician and Specialist Scientist for Infection Prevention and Control for over 10 years. I remained local and completed my VTS training in Coventry and Warwickshire, qualifying as a GP in 2020. I have worked as a Salaried GP in 2 different practices in North Warwickshire.
