Welcome from Dr. Richard Beckett – General Practice Partnership Champion

I’m Richard Beckett, a GP Partner at Westside Medical Centre in Rugby.  I have been a partner since June 2022 and more recently I have acted as Practice Manager alongside my clinical responsibilities, as well as representing Rugby on the Warwickshire LMC.

I truly understand the extra responsibilities that partners take on that often go unseen and believe firmly in working with partners to make their partnership as enjoyable and supported as possible.

My primary objective is to bring partners together; to share stories of successes they have had in their practices, and to support with the non-medical aspects of partnership through arranging training, developing support networks and providing opportunities for us all to learn from each other. The aim of the network is not only to help new partners find their way in the role, but also to recognise the wealth of knowledge that there is amongst our experienced partners.

With the right support, partnership can be an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding career and I look forward to working with you all to strengthen and maintain General Practice Partnerships in Coventry and Warwickshire.
