About us
Supporting the Coventry and Warwickshire general practice workforce
We’re here to provide learning opportunities and resources for our multidisciplinary general practice team, to advance integrated healthcare services and build the workforce of the future.
Training is just one element of our role – we support the recruitment, development and retention of our general practice workforce, covering Coventry, Rugby, South Warwickshire and Warwickshire North.
Our aims
We are commissioned by Health Education England to support six core aims:
- Support the recruitment of the general practice workforce by providing multi-professional training and education
- Support workforce planning at integrated care system (ICS) level
- Expand student placements within general practice
- Enable, support and embed ‘new roles’ within general practice
- Support the retention of our general practice workforce across all key transitions
- Enable workforce planning intentions and placement co-ordination through the management of clinical placement tariffs
Coventry and Warwickshire Training Hub was established in October 2020 as the two existing training hubs were aligned. Working together with the Clinical Commissioning Group and the Health Care Partnership, we provide access to relevant education, training and development opportunities for everyone working in general practice in our patch.
