All across General Practice, the recruitment and retention of staff will rely heavily on the quality of the environment they are in. In order to attract, develop and retain the best people, we must work to ensure high-quality, supportive environments for the workforce to be able to work, train and thrive.
To strengthen this, Coventry and Warwickshire Training Hub has launched the Training Academy. The Training Academy is a project designed to bring together both new and existing training offers for our General Practice educators and supervisors. The aim of this project is to ensure they have access to a wide range of resources that support educators, supervisors, and ultimately, the learners they will guide.
What’s included in the Training Academy?
The Training Academy will offer both educator specific and generic support, with several of the included offers already live through the Training Hub, with others due to launch in the near future.

- GP Support offer – ‘learning at scale’ opportunities for all learners in general practice, designed to complement the GP School programme offer.
- Principles of Primary Care – supported by a series of short videos, designed to introduce General Practice to those new to General Practice.
