How to have conversations that get you and your colleagues unstuck

Wednesday 19th March at 12.30-1.30pm

Open to anyone working in and supporting General Practice!

In this webinar we look at the Conversation Pentagon. We introduce powerful tools that you can use with your teams or colleagues who are feeling overwhelmed by work, by change and uncertainty.

These key conversations will help people to prioritise what’s really important, to be proactive and take control what they can and change their mindset so they can set boundaries, say no and deal with pushback without becoming derailed and diverted.

Join Dr Rachel Morris to learn:

✔︎  How to stop rescuing and navigate candid conversations with ease

✔︎  How to prioritise the genuinely important things, that will make a positive difference to you and your wellbeing

✔︎  How to effectively and respectfully deal with pushback when you say no to a request for your time or attention.

Access guidance to support your workforce during Ramadan

Ramadan is the holiest month in the Islamic calendar and is observed by Muslims worldwide. It lasts for a period of 29 or 30 days and culminates with the first day of Eid which is likely to fall on 30 March 2025. Exact dates are subject to sightings of the moon.

Many NHS staff who are Muslim will participate in a daily period of fasting, starting at dawn and finishing at sunset over the month. This means abstaining from food, drink (including water) and smoking. While the fast is an important part of Ramadan, it is also a time of self-reflection, self-evaluation, increasing worship and charitable deeds.

We also used our Staff Network to highlight the diversity of our workforce. It was also an opportunity to listen to our diverse workforce journey and how they dealt with incivility in the workplace as well as inspiring stories of allyship, inclusion and support from colleagues from all backgrounds.

Several organisations have developed useful guidance to help both staff and managers during Ramadan, or can help give advice about how to support Muslim staff at work. Please see below:

REACH Staff Network – 16th April

Our REACH Staff Network would like to invite you to celebrate Post Ramadan and Eid as well as the Muslim Heritage Month.
