Welcome from Dr. Sarah Hall – CWTH Career Network Lead

Welcome to post CCT life! Moving from the safe space of being a trainee to an independent practitioner can be extremely daunting time, and we want to make sure all newly qualified GPs have access to all the support they need and have a safe space to ask the questions and to share any fears or worries.

I have been a salaried GP in Coventry and Warwickshire for 14 years, trained at Warwick Medical school and was part of Coventry and Warwickshire VTS.  As such, I have a really good understanding of the local landscape, both professionally and personally, also having raised a family locally too.

I have done a number of roles alongside my 6-session salaried career, including Hospice work and front door frailty at UHCW. More recently, in my role at the Training Hub as Career Network Lead, it is my responsibility to make sure all GPs feel connected at all stages of their career and I feel really privileged to be able to support you at the beginning of yours.

Our Post CCT forums were born out of a previous National Fellowship scheme which highlighted a need for questions to be asked, fears to be shared and worries to be halved. It creates a relaxed conversational environment with an established GP that can offer guidance, support and sharing of experience.  We may discuss relevant topics or may be more of a Q+A session depending on the need. All newly qualified GPs are welcome – and look forward to seeing you at our next forum.

You’ll also hear about appraisals, learning options, mentoring, and other post‑CCT support across Coventry and Warwickshire, including help for new GPs via the First 5 (C&W) GP Network.

Forums will be held regularly—register below to receive links to our sessions. Each session will cover different topics, so please join one or all sessions.
