In line with NICE Guidelines NG28, (2015 – updated 2022) Management of Type 2 diabetes in Adults, this 90 minute session will highlight the main aspects of the role of HCA’s and TNA’s on the important aspects of an effective pre- assessment of people with Type 2 diabetes in primary care when they are due for their annual review.
Following a brief overview of the important aspects of diabetes care and management, this short course will use a case study approach to support delegates to build on their confidence and competence when applying their new and existing knowledge to people living with diabetes and to reassure themselves that they are practicing safely and effectively.
The main aim of this session is to provide a safe environment for delegates to ask questions and receive clarification on how to effectively assess people with Type 2 diabetes.
