Step 1 – GMC Invitation
Within the last four months of your training, the GMC will invite you to apply for your CCT online and you can make your application at any point within the last few months of your programme.

It is important to note that you will not be eligible for your CCT/CESR/CEGPR (CP) until you have applied and a recommendation has been received from your Royal College or faculty.
You must hold full registration with a license to practice at the time you apply for your CCT.
Step 2 – ARCP Panel
Within the last two months of your training, your HEE local office or deanery will hold your final ARCP Panel. If they are satisfied that you have met all the required competences for GP licensing, you will be signed off from training and this will be documented on an ARCP form. You will be required to sign your ARCP form in your e-Portfolio. Once you have signed the form it will be sent to the GPSA team who will begin their checks to ensure that you meet the requirements for entry onto the GP Register.
Please ensure that you also press the ‘Apply for CCT’ button on the progress to certification page of your e-Portfolio, as this notifies the RCGP that you wish to formally apply for your CCT. your training, the GMC will invite you to apply for your CCT online and you can make your application at any point within the last few months of your programme.
