I graduated from Nottingham University in 2005 and completed by GP training in 2011 in Buckinghamshire.
After CCT I undertook a six-month post, split between public health and clinical work; principally designing a pre diabetic service for the then PCT. In 2012 I moved to Warwickshire and worked as a salaried GP for almost a decade before taking on my partnership in Studley in 2019.
I enjoy looking at service design and improving patient care by making things more efficient and effective. During my time as partner I have set up our family planning service and supervise our nurse prescriber and First Contact Physiotherapist. General Practice workload is ever increasing and I am interested in utilizing our extended workforce to be the most productive to maximize the benefits for the patient and ensure each contact counts.
I thrive in a collaborative working environment and hope this fellowship will bring the opportunity to work more closely with our community partners to improve overall population health. Initially I will be focusing on support for our lonely and isolated patients who have suffered particularly during the pandemic.
